Scooter

“Hi, I’m Scooter.  I have lived on the farm for a long time as I used to be the owners riding horse, but as I have gotten older, I prefer to just pal around the farm.  I am not allowed to eat grass like I used to and I have to take medicine now which tastes awful… but they do give me lots of treats which is my favorite thing!  I am very important here as I am in charge of all the horses and keep everyone in line.  My favorite thing is being scratched on the belly and of course, treats! 

Scooter has some medical issues which need constant attention.  His knees are arthritic and he has developed Cushing’s disease, which is treated with medication.  He is not allowed to eat any rich food, thus the grass restriction.
